Lovely
Took the 102 bus to Santa Cruz, then boarded the 122 to the Basilica. Lovely day out, bus journey comfortable. 16.50 euros return altogether for both journeys for 2 people. Too much history to write about this place but take a trip if possible. Lovely little town for a day out, black sand on beach, will definitely visit again if we return to Tenerife.

Serenity For The Soul!
Even though I’m not particularly religious I still feel the power of these religious sacred places of worship - and here is to be found one of the most important icons of the Canaries , the black Madonna. The interior of the church is full of lovingly rendered works of art wherever you look - paintings, frescoes, statues and stained glass. It is the very peaceful and special soul-soothing atmosphere that made me take a pew, and sit and contemplate the divine.

A lovely church
Located by the seafront in a lovely square this beautiful roman Catholic church is well worth a visit. Beautiful stained glass windows and altar and surrounded by a lovely Spanish village. We visted in January and was closed from 2-3pm. No photography allowed dispite some people ignoring signs to say this. Worth a visit before exploring the town full of shop, gift shops and cafes
