Yes it is cool
An interesting sculpture in an interesting surrounding. Liked it, wondered around it. There is something about this work of art...

a wonderful sculpture
A giant abstract human figure made entirely of numbers and mathematical signs, the Alchemist provides an intellectual but approachable symbol for MIT. Occasionally students dress it up for an occasion (a giant scarf in winter, a big red cloth heart for Valentine's Day). People love to pose for photos in its hollow interior. Small children point out numbers, and older students can find Greek letters. It's a lovely, graceful addition to campus.

Striking
I find The Alchemist really striking particularly at night when it's illuminated. If you want to photograph it you might have to be patient because there always seems to be someone posing in front of it.
