An Easy Hike Into Desert Mining History
The hike to Wall Street Mill is an enjoyable 1.5 mi round trip that culminates at the site of the Mill. This is not a mine in and of itself, rather it is a site that crushes up the mined rock to prepare it for precious metal extraction. The site is remarkably well preserved and you'll also find some old abandoned vehicles. The hike is flat and easy except for those areas where you are walking on loose sand that takes a little more effort. You'll also see a marker that identifies the spot where Bill Keys shot and killed Worth Bagley in 1943 - a bit of history that you might find interesting if you dig a bit deeper.

Two Old guys walking to the Mill
There seems to be 2 parking areas, main being at Barker Dam parking and another on a sandy road that is a little closer, both have bathroom, We started from the Barker area parking and you follow trail signs until they disapear. Continue heading in that direction and following other footprints and you will see the ruins ahead. Site is fenced off and you should not go over fence, dangerous. Behind the Mill in the wash is a old car wreck. Lots of pipes and other things to see. Mostly wreckage. We had hoped to see Wonderland Ranch but the side trail is not marke but did see another old car wreck. Flat hike in most areas from solid patht sandy walking. Weather was nice but cold in December.

Flat, sandy hike - interesting site
Trailhead is in the same parking lot as the Barker Dam hike. Flat and a bit sandy, but a nice hike out to an old gold processing site. Interesting to walk around and see the equipment and a couple of old cars.
