    General Admission
I wanted to try the VIP Tour which was over 1000+ NZD for 2 ppl. As such, I opted for the General Admission tickets for 1 day only. I know there are a few website which offer discounted tickets like Mousesavers.com but I ordered my tickets online through the Universal website which offered a discount. I suggest buying your tickets online to save a few dollars. The day we went it was $124 per person with the discount. You can however look elsewhere if you are comfortable doing this. I also got a bit worried as I purchased tickets online at 8pm the night before and I didnt receive any email with the tickets by the time I went to sleep at midnight. It didnt come through at 4am but by the time I awoke my online tickets were sent to my email inbox. Just use your phone and they will scan the bar code at the entry point, no need to go to the ticket office. I recommend going as soon as it opens around 9am to get the full benefit of all the rides/shows. You can also spend a but more for the Express pass but even then people who opted for this had to wait a while. We went after midday & we were rushing around to see the shows, studio tour and general sightseeing. I do recommend the studio tour which shows you around the various studios and takes you through fast and furious set, Peter Jackson's Jurassic Park & other information about well.known movies & movie stars. I also suggest you see Waterworld which was interactive & eventful. Be prepared to fork out $$$ for food, memorabilia etc. Overall it was a great time had by all even though we would have preferred to see much more. Go early!

    Very fun half day park!
The Universal Studios at Hollywood is a solid theme park, with a good range of attractions. I arrived at around 9:30 AM and went straight to Hogsmeade to try the attractions there. The area is pretty immersive and is, by far, the best designed lad at Universal. You can see their care and budget into the tiny details. Food is crazy expensive though, so come ready to spend because of course you will want to try the theme foods. There are three attractions there. All quite fun, except for the Flight of the Hippogriff unless you are afraid of coasters or has a small child with you. The ride is too short to justify the wait time. After that I highly recommend you go after the Studio Tour, which was one of my favorite experiences 20 years ago and is STILL one of the peaks of the park experience, especially the practical effects. The best rides are the ones at the Lower Lot, the Mummy ride, the Transformers one and the best ride overall, the Jurassic World ride. Jurassic World ride is hands down the best ride there, and its fast if you are a single liner. 100% recommend going there, I literally went three times during my day.
