BEST whale experience
I found Slater on Instagram through his beautiful photography and decided to fly myself and my daughter across the country to spend a morning with the whales. Slater's boat is small and it allows for a much closer experience with the whales. You can also call the shots on what you want to see rather than being held hostage by a larger outfit with customers that maybe want to go 4 miles out to find grey whales instead. Slater told us what he thought was going on and we settled on a few patches of lung feeding humpbacks. We spent a few hours just going back and forth between the pods to watch them feed. It was incredible to simply watch the pattens of nature unfold. Slater is knowledgable and a very trustworthy captain. We loved out experience with Slater and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to hang out with the whales.

Serious Photography - Amazing Marine Platform
Slater Moore provides an amazing custom platform for 1 or 2 serious photographers or filmmakers. The water-level, eye-level access to marine life in Monterey Bay is simply fantastic, and coupled with the ability to closely collaborate with the captain, it's the dream ride. The boat is very fast and nimble, and Slater brings both his expert image-maker's eye to each trip, as well as his marine knowledge. As an amateur expert in whale photography, I've learned a lot from him on every trip. This is perhaps the best value in marine boating on Monterey Bay. Make no mistake, this isn't a comfort cruise. But for those that want immersive experiences that they can capture and bring home, this is the one.
