    Interesting but overlong tour
The Mission Inn Museum is primarily a tour of the Mission Inn, a huge and luxurious old hotel in downtown Riverside. It is conducted by a nonprofit historical society. The guided tour takes guests through the courtyards and lobby as the guide explains the history, various architectural styles, artwork and other features of the Inn. There is a one room museum with a few items, but the tour is the way to see the hotel without staying as a guest. The tour was expensive at $26 and nearly 1.5 hours long, which was just too much. Endless details about the owners, the architects, the construction materials used, the cost, and more. The Mission Inn is an impressive structure with an interesting history, but this isn’t one of the world’s great buildings and has no amazing architectural or historical significance: it’s just an old hotel that has had many famous guests. It’s sufficient to take visitors to the main locations and give an overview. 30-45 minutes would have been enough. Nobody cares what company sold the doorknobs. The Inn is also the centerpiece of Riverside’s Festival of Lights during the holiday season, but these exterior lights can be viewed from the sidewalk and streets.

Great weekend or one night getaway for couples
Historic hotel, not too far from Los Angeles. It has a couple of nice restaurants and bars on site. The city area nearby was a little sketchy with shady people and homeless /mentally ill people walking by and hanging out. Has a decent pool area. I suggest staying at the facility for your stay.
