Beautiful Lake with Amazing Dam
We walked down to the lake and dam. Be prepared with lots of drinking water as the walk back up to the entrance is a challenge. The area is beautiful and great scenery. Best to visit during the week when it is quieter than the weekend.

Family Friendly Fun at Upper Lake Clementine
Upper Lake Clementine is minutes from Auburn, CA and has a rural, swimming hole vibe. We visited on Labor Day weekend and were surprised to find it was not overly crowded. The park is family friendly, with no alcoholic beverages, glass containers or dogs allowed. Life jackets are available for use while at the park. The road to the lake is a winding dirt road, so be prepared! Our daughter participated in a Jr. Ranger program about aquatic wildlife during our visit. Note, be sure to take the road to *Upper* Lake Clementine, as Lower Lake Clementine is for boating only. There is a $10/vehicle admission fee.
