The Hiller Aviation Museum preserves the legacy of flight and provides inspiration for future generations. Over forty unique and innovative aircraft are on display. Realistic flight simulators and open aircraft cockpits (including the popular Boeing 747 exhibit) ensure that every visitor gains a pilot’s eye view of the world of aviation. In every imagination there is a spark of fascination with flight. The Hiller Aviation Museum is a place where that spark is ignited and aviation comes alive. Through our Invention and Exploration Programs, you can see and touch real aircraft, sit in an airline cockpit, hold the parts of a piston engine in your hands and experience realistic flight simulation from the pilot’s seat.

Excellent quality museum
This is a great and educational museum that's next to major Highway 101 but often get overlooked. Highly recommended! What sets this museum apart are the following: 1. You get to go into a cockpit and play around, touch and feel it. - you don't get that often in aviation museums around the world. 2. You can sit on the pilot seats of a couple of planes. 3. An actual size replica of Wright Brother's flight in 1903 4. A life size medical evacuation helicopter 5. A design workshop that provides interactive experience Other wonderful things: 1. They have a great gift shop 2. There is a flight platform in the back where you can see flights land and take off if you happen to catch a plane in action 3. The museum specializes in mid to small size planes, with a wide variety of planes from early 1900's to date, military, and commercial. Definitely budget for 2 hours, but at least 3 hours if you want to see everything thoroughly. $18/adult admission ticket price is well worth the money to learn and support the museum.

Needs some love
I enjoyed this museum but I'm not sure everyone would. I recommend it to people interested in aviation, history and science. Most of the visitors seemed to be boys and their parents or grandparents. My favorite exhibit was the one about Unmanned Aircraft, perhaps because it is about the future and not the past. Appreciated that there was an exhibit about female pilots but it didn't hold my attention. Would have appreciated better signage. I couldn't find explanations of some of the exhibits. Many excellent photographs had no relevant date. Would have appreciated some seating in front of the NASA video about Unmanned Aircraft. It is quite a long video and I stood in front of it until my legs started to ache; then I paced back and forth while watching the video; then I grabbed a stool that was behind a fenced-in area near the drones, but the stool gave me a backache. I saw not one docent the day I visited. The museum seemed understaffed. And I was perplexed by a lot of "junk" around the room that didn't seem to belong to an exhibit. The inside of the airplane in the outdoor exhibit smelled really bad; needs a deep cleaning. This museum needs some love.
