It is a good place to visit specially on weekends, or when school is out. It is a beautiful campus on the American River. If you park on the east side of campus you can walk up to the bike trail and walk along above the river. There are lots of squrrels on campus looking for a handout. During the school year there are lots of sports going on: spring sports men and women basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, tennis, track & field. Check schedule for times. There are plays and music events on campus. There is an excellent library,and art galery showing student works.

GORGEOUS CAMPUS!!
I am an alumni of CSUS though even if I were not, the same things would apply. This is one of the most beautiful campuses in Northern California. It is situated alongside the American River and Bike trail so the recreational possibilities abound. The campus itself has a lovely library and the theater productions are well done and worth supporting. The art shows are really interesting and show case future talent. Likewise with the dance programs. The guest speakers and Olympic sports track and field are always active and make for fantastic family outings. The professional class offerings and programs continue to draw the older students and professionals to improve skill sets and get advanced certificates and/or training. The student demographic has always sported an older average so the diversity in age is really empowering. This campus is continually evolving and reaching to the community for diversity and representation and I am very proud to be a graduate of this institution.

Gorgeous campus
My sister attended Sac State and I frequently visited her on campus. The grounds are so beautiful, the gym is legit, and the roads around the campus are perfect for morning and afternoon runs because of how shaded the sidewalks stay from all the trees. So many people ride bikes and my sister and I would often bike to campus from her apartment, get coffee, and when she would go to class I would just bike around taking in the campus, sometimes stopping to read in the bleachers and catch a football practice. Beautiful campus with extremely friendly students and staff.
