Take a Long Walk

The trail is excellent. Still under development, but eventually it will complete almost a full circle around the Bay. I love the area along the estuary near Jack London. Lots of open space and not too many people.

    Pleasant surprise
    I strolled down this trail in the evening toward the port of Oakland building and heard music. As I approached I realized that there was live music at an outdoor pub in the port building. Inside, I found a handy food market.

    Colllllllddddddd morning bike ride
    January is not the best time to be exploring the bay bridge bike and walk way but we made the best out of it. Windy and cold and sometimes even wet. But a little sun came out and allowed us to get some photos. If you are visiting try to plan for this and enjoy seeing the bay from a different perspective. Plenty of restaurants nearby so you can get a happy hour and cheap eats after a long walk or bike ride!
