Entertaining lunch
We came here for lunch with a group of us. What a wonderful experience. Not only did we get a lovely buffet meal with Moldova food and wine, after wards we got a very thorough explanation about the importance of bread in their culture. Most interesting. Then we were treated to some great music from two older local people who sang and played musical instruments for us. Our hosts were dressed in local costumes. I would recommend coming to all. It was a very entertaining lunch stop.

Enjoyable visit- lunch and music
We had a group of 12 pass through Valeni. We visited the bread museum for lunch- it was a delicious buffet with lots of meat and local specialities. Local wine also on offer. The host spoke to us about the traditions surrounding bread in Moldova which was very interesting, her English was terrific and her son Gabriel was translating too.... a talented 13 yr old boy. After the presentation and lunch we were treated to some local music which was wonderful. The older couple played various instruments and sang for us for ages, really enjoyable! Apparently the lady was in the Eurovision band that won 6th place in 2005....if you google it the lady is sitting in a rocking chair! Lots of fun. It was interesting learning about the traditions with bread too. Thanks for a great afternoon :)
