Beautiful statue
My twin brother Stephen and I were in the Anderlecht District were we had just had a great time in Cantillon Brewery ( brewery tour and beer sampling ) and L'Ermitage Nanobrasserie ( great brewpub ) ,we then headed to Place De L'Aviation were we visited three great cafe bars on this square were we enjoyed some classic Belgium beers ,on the square is this statue which is beautiful . Monument Aux Forains is a great statue ,dedicated to the showmen who perished in the first world war,unveiled in 1924,the work of sculptor's Victor Voets and Herman Voets ,the monument commemorates the 28 showmen who died defending Belgium ,30 other names were added after World War Two ,over the years the statue fell into disrepair and in 2003 was restored ,this statue was then placed in a safe environment and replaced with this exact copy which looks amazing ,so well detailed ,definitely well worth checking out if you're on Place De L'Aviation.

Nice find.
While heading to the amazing Cantillon Brewery in the Anderlecht district of Brussels my twin brother Stephen and I chanced upon this superb looking monument and statue and what a great find. Located in a pretty modern area of this part of town, this monument and statue is well detailed ,don't really know what it's a monument to or to whome but will find out,its eye catching with its gold relief inlays,makes for some great photographic opportunities and if your in this particular part of Brussels well worth checking out. Easy to locate on Square De L'Aviation .

Lovely place to relax and reflect
It's important to remember that this isn't a really a tourist attraction but a memorial so, although there isn't much 'to do' it is a nice site to relax and reflect.
