Iconic House, built by most talented Arts and Crafts architect Henry Van de Velde

I am a bit astonished to see Bloemenwerf (Flower site) here on TA, as it seems not to be an open museum or so. The house, built by Art Nouveau artist Henry Van de Velde is so well known it is mentioned on Wikipedia. This listed house has been for sale for a while... hope it has found a loving owner... and meanwhile do look up the many lovely photo's on the interior or this art Nouveau jewel. Lovers of the finest Art deco may also check on the history of Palais Stocklet near Brussels.

Have a gander - from the sidewalk
This lovely "English cottage" in the leafy Brussels neighborhood of Uccle is a private home, and after years up for sale, was purchased recently by owners who were obviously attracted by a listed property. There is an explanatory sign post on the sidewalk in front (in English, French, and Dutch). But unless the new owners decide to throw an open house (maybe on European Heritage Day?), no chance of getting beyond the padlocked gate.
