Great views of Britanny coast and old city

Ramparts enclose 95% of the old Saint Malo walled city do you can walk nearly all the way round with spectacular views on the seaward sides. Must do part of any Saint Malo visit, especially on a clear day. Lots of public car parks outside the walled city but gets super busy in summer so arrive early,

Walk the Rampards with good flat shoes for fabulous views
On holiday and decides to enjoy the amazing views of Sr Malo rampards. Good sturdy flat shoes needed to defy the cobbles manage the walls. Plenty of steps so not all parts of the rampards are suitable for people with mobility issues also steps to enter individual shops too inside the walls. Amazing views. We took the little train toearn the history before visiting individual places of interest. Allow at least one hour to walk the rampards and time to see the shops and have a cuppa and crepe. Bring plenty of €€ as expensive.

    City and sea from above
You get a beautiful view of both the city and the sea from above. It is spacious so despite Saint Malo being a very popular tourist city it did not feel very crowded. (That is nothing like Mont Saint Michel). You can comfortably walk the whole round in about 1 hour if you want to do the full tour. We walked about half and then took the rest of the tour on the "ground level" in the city. Many options to eat at a restaurant that is within the wall.
