Transit for Christmas Night Market
This took a couple of attempts with our little ones this holiday season. The first evening we accidentally tried to go when it coincided with the Christmas night market. We circled the parking lots for 15min then went home. We heard later other interactions over parking were very heated. I reattempted to see the lights with my kiddos on a Sunday just after Christmas. It was still very busy and vendor trucks available for mini donuts and hot chocolate, but parking was much more reasonable.

What A Great Place For A Summer Stroll.
Relatively flat asphalt and gravel base for the hike around the lake. Takes me about half an hour, and that includes a detour to the ice-cream truck in the adjacent Town Centre Park. Some areas of the trail are not two metres wide, but one-way directional signs minimize the need for social distancing. On a Skytrain route, lots of parking. Shaded areas, flower gardens, ducks, and a terrific fountain - what's not to like?

Love the lights at Xmas
It’s so pretty to have a winter walk with all the lights; the city does an amazing job at keeping the snow cleared so all people of all abilities can enjoy. It does get busy so beware if you don’t like crowds. I don’t normally care for walking around Lafarge outside of the lights season as it’s concrete for the most part, I prefer a natural path but that’s just me. We go every year and multiple time’s
