Great quite place I shall return
Catching trout campfires and peace and quite. Weather is unpredictable can have a taste of all the seasons in a day. We had nights of 85 one day next was blowing 40-50 mph and pouring rain. Pack in and pack out your garbage. Site have cattle guards surrounding camp ground so cattle are not a issue as have been in the past. MoMA deer and her fawn came for a visit after the long weekenders left.

Really nice place
We came here in off season. There was still a bit of snow and the lake was frozen with some ice fisherman on it. There are many sites, all with good access. There are pit toilets in good shape. Every site has a fire ring and a picnic table. There is a small boat launch, rustic children's playground. Nearby is Secret Lake and Kane Lake, all within easy walking distance. Plenty of wild life and the scenery is pretty nice. In the winter the 50+ km of cross country skiing trail is maintain by a local group and in the summer, I believe the same trails are used by ATV riders. Great for truck campers or trailers, I am not sure a class A would be a good idea. No dumping station or water supply so come prepared for off grid.

Canada Day long weekend camp trip
Our first time camping in Merritt, BC. Lucky we went with friends who have an RV as the weather was windy, cold and we got some rain. Despite the weather, the place is very scenic, the air fresh, fishing decent and other campers very friendly. Our campsite was right off the water. Just beware that you have to bring in water as there’s only outhouses on site.
