Great way to see the ‘Real BC’
My family had a great day on the water with Daniel. You can tell this was a guy who loves his job and knows his stuff. This is much more than just a ‘look over there’ tour as he had pictures and stories of what we were seeing. All 11 passengers felt like they were out for a day on the water with family rather than a guide we met hours before. The hot springs was worth visiting, the waterfall was spectacular, and the hike to the Big Cedar was eventful with a bear on the trail. To top it off, a grilled salmon lunch may have been the most scenic meal we’ve ever had. The only downside may have been Daniel telling my 3 boys to eat whatever they wanted as I’m fairly certain they are their weight in snacks. I’d recommend this to anyone visiting Bella Coola.

Highlight of our trip to Bella Coola
We loved this adventure with captain Dan, and it was a highlight of our trip to Bella Coola. We were travelling with my parents, who are seniors, as well as our teenaged son and everyone loved it. The trip took us past pristine water falls, historic pictographs, and an ancient (and gigantic) cedar tree. The best part of the day was a stop at the hot springs where we experienced the liberation of changing into our bathing suits amongst the trees. We saw eagles, seals and had a close encounter with a bear! Dan has this trip down to a fine art and each onshore excursion allowed us the perfect amount of time to enjoy the sights. He is very knowledgeable about the area and we felt safe in his capable hands. He provided us a beautiful BBQ salmon lunch and there were ample snacks and drinks provided. We highly recommend this tour to people who have an adventurous spirit! Thank you for a wonderful day, Dan.
