A nice walk from the city

I made the journey here from Brest fortress and it was nice to be able to get near the river and not head lots of city noise. If there are events on I would imagine the atmosphere in the stadium is electric. Regardless (good exercise area too) It's worth a wonder, just don't be heart broken if you don't see any rowers

A nice cold dip
Well as they when your abroad try and fit in, well I can certainly say I did -15, 21:00 at night and for some reason I was pushed into joining the local orthodox tradition of washing your sins and praying by dipping in the ice covered canal. There were 2 large tents one for woman and one for men, you went in stripped down and waited in line to take the ice cold plunge, after you go back to the tent and dry of and take a large shot of vodka, felt fantastic actually.
