Beacon Park Boats - Perfect narrowboat holiday
After enjoying various narrowboat holidays in the UK we decided to try the Mon & Brec Canal. We hired “Kite” from Beacon Park Boats for a 4 day mid-week break. Although it is described as sleeping 6 people, the layout is better suited for 4 (2 couples) which was perfect for us. Handover was very efficient and friendly. The boat was extremely well equipped and well appointed with lots of nice extra touches. The canal and surrounding countryside is outstanding. Whilst I agree the canal is shallow and overgrown in places it was easy to navigate, especially with the help of the bow thrusters. There were plenty of quiet, safe moorings to choose from and the friendly CRT volunteers were a great help on the lock flight. Crickhowell is a lovely little town to visit and easy to walk to from bridge 116. Returning the boat at the end of our holiday was a simple and efficient process. Although Beacon Park Boats may not be the cheapest boats, the quality of the boats and the standard of service mean that the overall experience is good value. I would definitely recommend Beacon Park Boats and am looking forward to a return visit.

A memorable New Year narrow boat holiday in 5 star luxury
We have recently returned from a most enjoyable week's narrow boat holiday on the Brecon & Monmouth Canal over New Year. We hired a luxury boat, named 'Osprey', which was of an extremely high standard in terms of both comfort and facilities on board. We would highly recommend 'Beacon Park Boats' for their excellent service in every regard and attention to detail. 'Osprey' is perfect for 4 - two couples or a family with two very comfortable double bedrooms and two well appointed bathrooms. The galley kitchen is very well-equipped and there is plenty of room on the front deck for 4 to sit and eat outside in comfort - with a canopy overhead in case the weather changes. There is a very comfortable lounge with a wood burner and surround sound cinema scope entertainment in the central part of the boat. Large windows on all sides make the vessel bright and light during the day, providing excellent views of the beautiful surrounding countryside and wildlife.
