Perfect event on a hot summer day!
1,4 meters deep water channels invite you to get explored via a gondolier in a blue vest and a lot of background information about the nature and history of the "spreewald" nature resort... Although parts of the spreewald are a "biosphere" and thus forbidden to be entered at all a lot of the forest can be visited via "kahn" or small boats that are kept in motion through gondoliers...very venice like... the tour stops at small houses where you can buy from local vendors goose fat on bread and the "spreewaldgurken"...locally grown pickled gherkins... the tour takes 2 hours but is devided through a thirty minute stop at a local guest house where you can enjoy locally caught fish and other treats The tour was in German and I do not know whether or not they offer ones in different languages.
