Such a great view of Cartagena!

This was well worth the $80 we spent to see the monastery, fort, and walled city. The monastery lets you see the city from a bird’s eye perspective, and it was amazing. Unique experience riding through city traffic and up the steep hill as well. Highly recommend!

    Highest Point of Cartagena
I didnt see much about this location when researching before my trip. On our way to visit the castle our taxi driver recommended stopping here. This was the most stunning view of Cartagena of our entire trip. You are met with 360 views of the city and beautiful rich history throughout the Convent. When visiting make sure you have a taxi to take you to the top and wait for you when you're ready to head back down. The road up is narrow and does not have an area to walk and can be very dangerous (and steep) if you're trying to do this on foot. There is a small fee for entry about $1.50 USD.

    Beautiful city views
The convent itself isn't that spectacular, but the views definitely are! A lot of the taxi and Uber drivers will propose that they take you to the convent if they are already driving you to the fort, and it's probably worth it, depending on the extra fee. There are vendors in the parking lot, so be aware if that bothers you. The ride up the hill is crazy, and the neighborhood is not safe, so don't try to hike it. The convent itself is gated and surrounded by barbed wire fences, and the entry was $5 when we went. All of the signage is in Spanish, and there is a small gift shop and restrooms. Ask your driver to wait for you in the parking lot, since you won't be there too long.
