No Beach

Beautiful hike in. Beautiful area. Just no beach right now, which kinda sucked. We found a spot to hang our stuff on a tree and hung out but there was no lying out on our towels. Took photos and did a beach workout. Then went to The Point for some lunch. Highly recommend. If you go to Red Frog Beach just know you have to pay $5 once you get to the docks because you'll be hiking through the woods on private land. Definitely worth it though.

We went to red frog beach for the day. Absolutely stunning beach, a real tropical paradise. BUT - you have to pay pay pay. First, the water taxi drops you off and you pay $5 per person to walk to the beach as the roads are owned by red frog resort. Then you can either sit in the sun, or rent a lounger under a thatched umbrella for $5 per person. We rented from nachyos mamas. They are very unfriendly bordering on surly. We ordered a taco lunch from them which was disappointing at best. Though their crushed ice fruit drinks were delicious- especially the pineapple and Grenadilla. The other annoyance was these two local children constantly coming up and trying to sell us some kind of food out of a Tupperware. The girl kept banging the top of my lounger as she went past which was really annoying. Then as we were relaxing on our lounges, some locals arrived and took over one of the seating areas, playing very loud music and basically taking over. So it kind of spoilt a really special relaxing day. Would I rush back? Probably not. The beach is very beautiful but the whole experience left a lot to be desired.

There is a strong rip tide! We witnessed a man being rescued by helpful surfers after the sea pulled him out way too far. The beech itself is fairly thin and backed by the jungle. For 10$ return boat from bastimentos main dock plus 5$ entry I'd say that it's way better to go to Wizard Beech for free!
