A fun and informative experience! Ivan was great.
I received my open water dive certification at La Buga in November 2021. Ivan was my instructor and I had a great time. Ivan was a great instructor as he explained every thing clearly and in great detail. The course was both fun and informative. After two days and 5 dives I feel confident in my diving ability and can’t wait to do it again. I would definitely recommend the program at La Buga. As for the the diving locations, they are great. Lots of coral, fish and a rainbow of different colors. Plenty of variety. Shipwrecks we’re very cool to see as well. Good at the restaurant is very good too, I recommend the Yuca fries !

Will definitely come back!
We went to La Buga and finished the OW course with Ivan. It was our first time diving, and Ivan went above and beyond to explain the structure of every dive, skills and theory. While underwater Ivan has a lot of patience and made made me and my girlfriend feel safe. We also decided to do a night dive and 100% recommend it. They also give you a huge discount for the night dive (and future dives) if you finish a course with them. (Though we would've liked a short summary of what we did after the dives because for new divers it is a lot of input.) -Andy and Madeleine

Open Water Certificate
I did my open water certificate with La Buga. I had heard many good things about them, that's why I chose them. And I do not regret it at all! I super recommend La Buga if you are considering to do your open water certificate or just a fun dive. The instructor, Ivan, was great, and also very good at explaining the exercises that I needed to do. He made all the students feel very comfortable, confident and enjoy the dives! An additional bonus was that we saw so many amazing fish and underwater animals, including shark! 10/10.
