Nice museum full of local history
Nice museum filled with a variety of local history. Friendly docent greeted us (and gave us suggestions for places to eat / other places to check out while in Bishop Hill) Sweet personal stories posted near many of the items on display - be sure to take some time to read them (my favorite is the story about the buggy) Donations accepted… definitely a nice stop for anyone who enjoys local history.

A Great Museum with Much to see
This was quite a nice sized museum on the edge of town. It had rooms with beautifully displayed artifacts from the time the Swedes moved to this town. Really a nice museum. We went to two museums and both were free, did have place for donations.

Visiting the Past
This small, well-organized museum which operates using volunteers and a donation jar for visitors is a bit off the "main drag". Artifacts are neatly organized and labeled. It is worth a visit.
