Worth it especially for history buffs and families with teens
This is one great museum. There is so much on exhibit here that it is almost too much to take in. The exhibition is organised in such a very clever way that it keeps you interested, entertained and engaged the whole way through. I would not recommend this museum for kids under 10 or 12 but it is perfect for teenagers. The lie detector test, finding bugs in a room, checking your password for security, trying to crack a safe and the laser room and James Bond exhibit are total hits for teenagers. East/West history buffs are also well catered for. For people growing up in Berlin during the wall era, it is intensely interesting and very familiar, for those born after the reunification, it gives great insight into the city's and country's history. For international tourists, it is a great way to learn about the special role of Berlin as the centre of Spy Craft in the world and the exhibition of instruments is mind boggling. The bridging from spy craft in ancient Egypt to modern use of big data is also cleverly done. Highly recommended. Go here first thing in the day with a fresh mind and eyes as you can easily spend 2-3 hrs and there is a lot here to take in. I would go again.

nice but long waiting for single exhibits
Really nice content and exhibits in the museum. Especially the interactive stations are really nice, especially for kids. Unfortunately though it seems the museum sells too tickets and it was quite crowded, especially if those interactive exhibits are not limited in time for a single user. We had to wait a very long for a single one, as the people before us didn't care of the long queue of people waiting behind them. This kinda dampened the enjoyment of the rest of the exhibition.
