Beautiful Cathedral, mid day service
We visited Berlin Cathedral about mid day on a Friday and there was a service going on. The music made by the organ was just so beautiful. During the short service of about 20 min, we needed to be respectful and no photo taking was allowed Tickets needed to be purchased from a machine - but the instructions were too clear. For adults, it costs €9 to enter, so just look out for the €9 tickets

Calm and peaceful church and an unmatched view of Berlin all in one - must visit.
The cathedral itself is beautiful and peaceful but it is the climb up about 280 steps to the panoramic view of the city that makes this a must stop destination and a bargain at 9€. The views are amazing and help you get a true picture of the city and it's history and you get a full 360 walk around the base of the dome outside so it's not for the faint hearted! The 280 or so steps are genuine climb too, so you need to make sure you've had breakfast but it's well worth being out of breath for! I've seen lots of reviews where people say they were in and out in 10 mins so they missed this part. The cathedral is beautiful and whilst superficially (as others have pointed out) you will be able to find grander elsewhere but that misses the beauty here. There's a real calmness and a sense of religious history that's impeccably kept. An opportunity to light a candle for 2€ for those who like to remember. Cafe was nice too!

A dome woth a visit
The views of both the interior and exterior were captivating. There are also the tombs of the German emperors and their consorts inside the main chamber of the cathedral. There is an entry ticket to this place and a long walk to the top which is worth the effort as it provides mesmerizing views of Berlin city from the top.
