Diving with the nurse sharks
This is a must! The dive shop is well run and our dive guide, Manuel, and boat captain, Gerald were the best ! ask for them for a great dive experience. The local dive shops are getting rid of the lionfish (which are ruining the ecology of the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea) by feeding them to the nurse sharks. In turn the nurse sharks will swim freely with divers. It is an amazing experience.

Very informative!
The gentleman working in the Cultural Center was a wealth of knowledge about the island of Ambergris Caye and the Mayan people. This is a very worthwhile visit if you are interested in history of the Mayan people. There aren’t many, but some very interesting artifacts found on the island.
