Day at the farm
Open every day from the 17th of March until 4th of November 2018. We are not just a farm but a fantastic family experience with many opportunities for children and parents to learn and play together. Our staff are always on hand to make sure you and your family have a fantastic day out and we all hope to see you soon! We try to make sure that the kids get a real hands on experience with our animals, letting them handle and feed them with our staff. We also have many different play areas for the kids to make sure they have as much fun as possible. We opened our new farm themed Play Village last year, this state of the art play center encourages children to learn and develop through role play. It is super fun and includes a milking parlour, farm shop and and vet's clinic to name a few. This year we have new alpacas and free tractor and barrel rides for everyone! Families typically spend around 3 hours with us and students are very welcome! Our pups are a big hit!

Day at the farm
Great fun at this farm it is brilliant for young and old alike. They offer great a experience for young children to get up close to animals and touch them there is a fun tractor ride for the family around the farm and a smaller ride for young children on a train looking thing being pulled by a quad. It was one of the Easter events where the children got to collect little eggs and got a chocolate lollipop after a big of a singsong and dance, I would recommend this to anybody with young children or just anyone who would like a fun time out it was money well spent family loved it.

The Pods at Streamvale
First time staying at the Pods and we really enjoyed it and will be back. We stayed in The Duckling deluxe pod for one night on 13 May 2022. The pod was spacious enough for myself and my husband and 4-year old daughter. The pod was clean and very well equipped with what we needed for the night. We brought our own meat for a BBQ dinner and bought charcoal from the office which was reasonably priced. They also gave us tongs for the BBQ as I don’t think these are kept in the pods. The weather was kind to us and we were able to sit outside in the evening enjoying the views over the fields to Belfast. After dinner we lit the fire pit and used the hot tub, it was so peaceful. We had a decent night’s sleep the bed was comfortable and our daughter managed with the sofa bed although if she was any older the particular sofa bed we had would not have been adequate, it was very small and not the most comfortable. The temperature of the pod was great it never felt too warm or too cold. Kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave were really handy to have and means you can make a basic meal or snack. Crockery, cutlery, a couple of glasses, tea coffee sugar and washing up stuff provided. The view from the little kitchen window up to the animals in the field was delightful – made washing the dishes less of a chore! We were staying for 1 night and had a BBQ for dinner. If you don’t fancy cooking or the weather isn’t good enough the local takeaways deliver to the pods. We glamp on a regular basis and brought our portable gas burner so that we were able to cook some sausages for breakfast outside the next morning. Bathroom was great nice shower and towels and robes provided. If you’re planning on using the hot tub you may want to bring some extra towels so you have fresh towels for your shower next morning. Our daughter appreciated the TV with Netflix when she felt like some quiet time. We had no noise disturbance from other guests only the sounds of the animals and the general running of the farm it was so relaxing. The next morning we enjoyed a walk up to the fields where we saw the alpacas, ponies and highland cows. It was lovely having this exclusive access to the animals our daughter loved it. We checked out and then had a quick visit around the open farm. Final thoughts are we would definitely go back and would recommend although a little expensive for what it is. Sofa bed could do with upgrading and even a very small bottle of Streamvale milk would be appreciated in the fridge for tea and coffee and would probably encourage people to buy a full size bottle from the vending machines to take home. We regularly buy Streamvale milk so brought along one of our bottles but considering the price we were paying it would have been nice to have a small bottle already provided in the fridge or even the option of buying/bringing your bottle for a free fill of milk as a Pods at Streamvale customer bonus.
