Factory tour is definitely worth it!
When I found out about the factory tour I knew we should do it. Unfortunately I found out about it on a Sunday, and we were leaving on Tuesday morning, which meant that our only option was Monday. Reservations are required so I sent an email inquiring if there was any availability. Amazingly, on a Sunday afternoon I got an email response saying that I would have to call in to make a booking. Even more amazingly, I called on Sunday afternoon and got a person! They did have availability for the Monday tour at Noon so we booked it. The factory tour is great, especially if you're a BMW owner. We were really impressed by the whole thing. Watching the robots work was probably the coolest part of it. We learned a lot about the manufacturing process, and about BMW, and that part of Munich as well. If you're in the area and have an interest in BMWs, go do the tour. It's definitely worth it. It's super easy to get to on the metro, and it's a fun time.

BMW Welt/Museum, Factory & Olympic Park - Could Not Have Been Better
With a day to spare at the end of my Ski holiday, I booked my ticket for the 10.15hrs factory tour and after arriving early at 08.45hrs on a dry, bright & crisp morning, a walk through Olympic Park was a pleasant start of what in my opinion was a great day. The factory tour started on time and we were led by a very knowledgeable & technical tour guide leaving you in no doubt, how cars are built. BMW Welt takes at least another 1.5 hrs to complete extending the amount of knowledge gained including a proper cup of tea & a bagel which is hard to find in Munich for an Irish man. Another 2 hours in the Museum depending on how much information you can digest in one day but there is still more for the next day if you have the time. You would never guess but I loved it and a great day without the family who would have no interest in this type of tour because the only fashion available to purchase was connected to cars. P.S. - I don't own a BMW, Rolls Royce or a Mini.
