Beautiful place to walk for a weekend
This is a good place to enjoy the traditional sees in Baviera and near to Munich. Ammersee means Amer lake (Lago de Ammer), is a quiet town, perfect to enjoy a good German beer. + You can walk all the center by yourself with amazing views and make an stop for eat while you are amazed with the small details of the place

Sunshine and Blue Water
Gorgeous, large lake bringing to mind my home state of Minnesota. Water looked very clean. Lots to do from all types of water recreation and biking or walking by the shore. We took the ferry across to Diessen. The ferry ride was delightful.

Large lake surrounded by quaint towns
The lake was larger than I expected and made for an enjoyable stay The boat tour is well worth it on a beautiful day, It takes a couple of hours and stops by cute villages surrounding the lake. Herrsching is the largest village and extermely well connected by a direct S-Bahn train from Munich making a visit to the "sea" in one hour.On a summer day there were several beaches to lounge at in Herrsching as well as dozens of restaurants.
