4.5 (79 reviews) Spent Ranking #47 in Province of Vizcaya Arenas & Stadiums

Must see for football lovers

Very interesting museum, even for some family members who are not into football that much. Great and very professional visuals and to-the-point information, also in English. The history of the club and pride of the Bask people realy got under my skin. And of couse a very impressive stadium. I would love to come back to wath a game!

Way above average museum and tour
I'm a bit of a stadium geek. For me this one was one of the best, the stadium impressive at 53000 capacity felt compact. The tour and museum amazing, the best I have been on. Right up to date from a digital point of view, and the actual tour guide was impressive. I was very impressed with the cafe where you can see the pitch if you don't want to do the actual tour. It certainly put my club Man City to shame who easily have the resources to equal the quality museum.

    Excellent stadium tour
This tour of the San Mames stadium and museum is a must for serious football fans . The stadium is being rebuilt , directly across the road , so you should take the opportunity to visit this 100 year old sporting venue- the site of the worlds first cantilever stand - while you can . The museum with its many pictures , shirts and trophies is a glittering place packed full of history of some of Spain, and the worlds , greatest players and teams . A tour guide , making the effort to speak to the 2 of us separately in English , did a first class job in showing us around the VIP area , the changing rooms , press areas and pitch side. A very pleasant way to spend an hour whilst we waited for our bus ( the city's main bus station is only 5 mins away ) . Glad we choose this down to earth tour rather than the pretentious Guggenheim .
