Great view over Congo. The artesanal fish boats, crossing the two margins, are a must. Nice place for some good photos.

Best place to chill out in Bangui!
Going at Oubangui hotel green area, tourangelle or on the little river island (only from Nov to April) is a great way to spend one or two hours on Sunday afternoon. It is relaxing, you can access by car (ten minutes from the city centre) and the sunset is amazing. Some friends took also a sightseeing "cruise" on the river: a good occasion if you want to sunbath and eat some local food.

A river and the border between CAR and Congo.
If you want to visit the place go to the Bangui Hotel, or the rock club. Do not ever try to wander on the banks at any time it is most likely that you may be robbed or beaten. Apart from that the river has beautiful views and unique african boats made of tree logs can be seen. they are used for fishing and ferrying people across from one country to another
