Historic and Majestic
This was my most anticipated visit when I planned for Bangkok. The compound is huge and there is a lot of attractions inside. There was free tour provided inside the Temple of Emerald Buddha but it was limited only at certain time slots. There is a lot of people that offering for private tour for certain price outside of the palace, or there is another option for personal audio guide where you can rent the audio device for a personal tour, or you can just tour the palace without any guide there is no problem with that. For the price of ticket I paid, it is included for 2 more museum visit inside the compound valid for the same days tickets purchased. And you can go to watch a masked dance theatre at another location valid for 7 days upon ticket purchases. But free shuttle is provided to the theatre at the exit of the palace. There is toilet inside the compound and coffee shop to buy drinks if you're thirsty because Bangkok is so hot

Very pretty
This is a popular stop in Bangkok. We visited in June and the sidewalk and road leading up to the temple was under construction. Make sure you catch the detour signs. There is an entry fee for tourists and we were surprised that it was 500 baht per person. The palace is very ornate and worth seeing. I thought we weren’t allowed to bring water in, but I saw a ton of people with water bottles. I recommend taking water because it’s insanely hot there. They do have a security check for temperature and sign in. They also have a checkpoint for proper clothing, so no sleeveless shirts, no shorts, make sure your ankles are covered etc. People had to rent clothes if they were not dressed appropriately.
