BTS Skytrain, Thailand
4.5 (49.4k reviews) Tuesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent Ranking #2 in Bangkok Public Transportation Systems
Easiest mode of transport in Bangkok
The BTS Skytrain is one of the most efficient ways of getting around Bangkok, with over 60 stations across three lines. Avoid the infamous Bangkok jam and hop on the train—it stops by loads of major tourist attractions like Chatuchak Weekend Market, Lumpini Park, ICONSIAM and the Jim Thompson House Museum. Depending on how long you'll be in Bangkok, you can get a single journey ticket, a one-day pass, and a rechargeable Rabbit stored value card. But note that the tickets and passes are not valid on the subway (MRT) or Airport Rail Link (ARL). – Tripadvisor

Best way to go around.
Many taxi drivers will try to overprice their fee without using their meter. This is the cheapest way to go around and it goes everywhere. Just get your google maps or ask to the ticket seller where you need to get off the train to reach a specific location. Quite easy and quick.

Clean, Safe, Quick, But Doesn't Take Credit Cards
Loved avoiding the crazy Bangkok traffic by using the elevated train, called the BTS. There are two BTS lines and you need to pay by cash. If you don't have cash or are unsure of how to use the ticket machines, use the friendly ticket agents, who are located at every station and speak English. Retain your ticket or token as you need it to enter and exit the BTS system. You can use the BTS to get to the underground subway, called the MRT. Tell the ticket agent your final stop and they can direct you. Not that there are two BTS stations where you can connect with the the MRT, but the MRT system requires another ticket, so expect to pay twice.
