Small museum
A small museum, housed in a historic house, built before 1800. In fact, the house itself, very nicely restored, is the most impressive part of the museum. Also, there is a covered inner courtyard, very beautiful. Otherwise, the museum is not impressive, it does not have many exhibits and not very spectacular. The exhibits have no description in English. You need less than an hour to visit it.

Local history museum in an interesting house
We went because it was included in the ticket we bought for the Augustiner Museum. The somewhat eclectic collection ranges from instruments of torture to a model of the Schauinslandbahn cable car (worth a day out if you are in the area). We tend to spend ages in museums, reading all the information available .... and we were finished here in 30 minutes. The undoubted star of the show is the house itself - especially the staircase and the dome. Worth the half hour. Worth going on the combined ticket as it did not cost us anything. The ticket also covered the Natural History Museum (nice display of the rock cycle) and the Museum of Modern Art (we ran out of time on our day with the ticket because we spent so long in the excellent Augustiner Museum).
