Märklin World Titisee, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany

4.0 (85 reviews) Thursday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #3 in Titisee-Neustadt Speciality Museums

Nice and cosy miniature world

The Märklin-World-Titisee is embedded in the art area M-A-C in the pedestrian zone in Titisee and is a starting point for young and old. Here you can experience the tradition-steeped history of the Märklin company: on more than 450 square meters of exhibition space you can find sheet metal items, model trains and much more. These show the visitor the enormous range of the company's products in their 150-year career. On the third floor there are two beautiful show systems that deliberately show the development of railway technology, from analog to delta to today's digital system controlled by a PC.

    Well worth a visit
A small but enjoyable museum featuring mostly models from the Markin Company. The railway layouts are very good and well put together and the models made from Markin construction kits are amazing.

    Trains and other Toys
The Museum is tucked away down an Alleyway to the East of Seestraße. Located on 3 Floors, it is bigger than might be imagined from the Outside. Whilst mostly focusing on Model Railways, it does include a number of other Marklin Toys from over the Decades. The Model Railways include several Visitor-Activated Features (most of which operate) and sone nice Cameos and Buildings, although the modelling is not to the highest Standards and generally the Trains run far too fast to be realistic.
