I don't know how to write review about lake caz it was so breathtaking. really beautiful, just nature, fresh air, sun.. amazing! you should just take a car to do a tour around the lake.. when you see nice spot, just stop and enjoy.. Miraduros (viewpoints) are everywhere. You should also take enough food and water with you because it is hard to find store or gas station or anything.. be aware of that and enjoy. try to find miraduro ponta del rei and visit ghost hotel.. it is at the top of the lake,. and story about ghost hotel discover yourself ;)

Truly Beautiful
I must admit, I saw the lakes from above, then we drove down to the bridge to see them upclose. Many people think the view from the top is spectacular, but I think being right on top of the lakes was way better. You can truly see the different colors on the lakes, and how amazingly distinct it is. The bridge across the lakes provides for some nice photos as well. If you go to see the lakes you should definitely stop by the bridge.

Beautiful! Worth a visit!
We went on a drive to Sete Cidades from Ribereira Grande to Lagoa Azul. The drive was worth it because there were Simone very pretty lookouts on the way. We drove into Mosteiros which is definitely worth the view on the black sand beach. When we got to Sete Cidades we weren't sure what to do. We drove to the smaller lake and had a look. The water and scenery are beautiful. Then we went to the bridge between the lakes. This was also very nice. We saw a path leading up a hill on the side nearest Sete Cidades. It has two posts at the entrance. There is a small parking lot. If you take the upper trail it leads all the way to the lookout over the lakes. ( this is not one of the main trails in guide books) We are pretty fit and it took about 50 min but well worth it! What a view!If you aren't fit you can just follow the road across the bridge and it will lead to the same place. However the best views and scenery are on the walk up!
