Sweet place between France and Italy
During the summer I worked in a village at the feet of Mont Cenis. So, I went often over there to eat. You are in the middle of the nature, it's calm, beautiful. In summer (july and august), there are lot's of pepole, but in septembre, it's more restful, you can even see marmots! It's a place that I recommend

Scrap the journey through the tunnel take the mountain road
Travelling from france to Italy we decided to take the mountain pass rather than the tunnel. the road up and down the mountain was great with horseshoe bends ever rising to the mountain top both sides. This time it was made even more memorable by having to drive around the cows being moved up the road to higher pastures, a once in a lifetime experience. Once at the top you can stop by the café and the pyramid and admire the views of the lake and the mountains. both on the sides of the mountains and in the lake you can see fortifications from history that showed how important this road was throughout history, A lovely drive and breathtaking views.
