A traditional resort that tries harder

Just had a weeks skiing in La Rosiere, I've skied here for more than twenty years and I can only think of one year when poor snow cover was a problem. I don't know of a friendlier or more helpful village. It's high at 1850 metres with pistes from 2800 metres down to 1170 metres- AWESOME! Over 160 kilometres of pistes in France and Italy on a single lift pass, which is terrific value compared to the mega resorts nearby. Masses of off-piste as well, no surprise that the three times world champion extreme skier comes from the village. Most of the pistes are south facing son it's sunny as well, in seven days six were sunnier. A bien tout La Rosiere jusque Mars.

    My Favourite resort
Another fantastic week in La Rosiere, enough snow, lots really and with low temperatures throughout the day and night the pistes are holding up. This is my favourite ski resort without doubt. We've skied here for more than twenty years and it never fails to charm. The people are friendly and helpful unlike many larger resorts. There is always some new innovation, the lift company and the community don't rest on their laurels. Has to be on any keen skiers itinerary, the link to Italy gies an entirely different perspective to the ski area.
