Breathtaking drive through the alps

Second time for my husband-needed to show me! Loved the grazing cows with their bells. Great access for hiking.

Pretty man-made lake in the alps
Although not awe-inspiring as it does not have a high dam wall, the lake is nestled among mountains and is a starting point for alpine hikes. Where the Silvretta road meets the lake, there are a few hotels and restaurants that cater to the many day tourists. There were many elderly tourists in buses who had a quick walk on the dam and a coffee and cake in the restaurant overlooking the lake. Many motorcycle riders took a break here. Plenty of parking but towards mid-afternoon it might be difficult to find a space. Nice place to stop for a coffee; great if you have 2 hours to walk around the lake.

Scenic walk around the lake on gravel road
Did the walk with the kids as there aren't that many other walking options that don't involve steep climbs for hours. Nice scenic walk around a lake, whilst the views are outstanding the path itself is basically a gravel road so not the most exciting, would've been nicer to have a dedicated single track, especially as there were cars driving on the path also to our surprise..
