Rosshutte, Austrian Alps, Austria

Stunning hiking area

Walking path not for beginners as some areas are pretty steep and or not so easy if you're not fit. Would not recommend for children. You need good hiking shoes as trainers would slide a lot with al the small stones. It takes about 2 hours there and back at medium pace. The scenery during the whole hike is just beautiful :-)

    Get the Adventure package
We were walkers and they offer an adventure package which takes you to the Rosshutte with cable lifts to two high mountian venues with a short ridge walk on one. This package includes free coffee and cake at the Rosshutte. Take a book because they offer free deckchairs too. We were given good advice only go up if you have a clear view right to the top. We had a lovely sunny day for our trip,

    What a superb trip
When in Seefeld you must go on the Rosshutte funicular railway, but don't stop at the cafe take the cable car to the Seefelder Joch, lovely views. Then return to the middle station and take an even bigger cable car across a huge valley to the Harmelekopf the views are stunning. As mentioned in a previous review you can do the entire journey + coffee and cake for 24 euros. DON'T MISS OUT!
