Heaven on earth!!

DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE! It is just stunning. We opted to catch the cable car up and then do a walk from the top. This worked out great for us as then we had fresh legs for the walk! We walked to Totalphutte hut (and enjoyed a nice cold beer!) and then walked on a little further so we could say we hiked to Switzerland! Nice clearly marked track, all up (with beer time, stopping for photos) the hike to Swiz boarder took us about 4 hours. Was not highly difficult. An easier (and flat) option would be to walk around (or part way around) the lake.

    lovely and very easy hike
    You can take the cabin up and down hill - the walk around the lake takes around 1-1.5 hours slow pace and very easy. You can hike up to the peaks, or hike down to the valley if you want more excercise. The views are beautiful. There are 2 restaurants , one at cabin car station, the other at the opposite side of the lake

    Beautiful lake
    Very beautiful lake high in the mountains. Recommended to visit. Around the lake it's not very busy with people, at least when we were there, so it felt very private and relaxing. But the restaurant at the stop of the Bahn was completely full, so we had to get food somewhere else.
