Nice lake, entrance fee
There are many lovely thing written about Faaker See. But it is rather annoying that you have to rent a private house or pay the entrance fee at hotels just to see the lake or to swim in it. And you can't use your own SUP unless you are staying at a private place. In the summer obviously crowded. The water is quite clear and warm enough for swimming. Or you can just enjoy the view.

Nice area, great service.
Faakersee is the most southern small lake in Austria. We camped there on camping Anderwald which is absolutely fine. Specially the restaurant on the campsite is top. Good food at a bargain.
