This historic building served as a center for managing and ordering the process of product exchange, sale, resale, import, export, and negotiation that took place in the Arroyan port during the 19th century. In 1993, it became a museum and a center for the development of cultural activities. It has its own room for recitals, concerts, exhibitions, book presentations, among other folkloric, artistic and cultural activities.
