I have to say if you want a great camping experience this park is one to enjoy solo or with family.
2022 Memorial Day experience was the best camping week - end I have had as an adult. I had not been tent camping before and the camp grounds and Ranger station was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I went paddle boating floated on the lake and hung out on the beach with family. The other campers were like neighbors and daily we talked with people and learned about who they were and the reasons they came to this park to enjoy the week-end.

Peaceful Woodland Retreat
An older property very well maintained in a woodland setting very conveniently located in Hot Springs Village. A bit dated but good value for a short or long stay. The staff is competent, friendly and helpful. Walking trails are next to the property and there are pleasant views of the lake. We walked to the El Jimador restaurant (five minute walk) and had a wonderful Mexican style meal. This was our 2nd visit to Hot Springs Village, staying at Los Lagos both times. We stayed in the efficiency sized unit the 1st time and the larger unit with a gas fireplace the 2nd time.
