Plaza de Armas de Arequipa
Perhaps the most beautiful Plaza in Peru, ample, beautiful, with the impressive Catedral, jilt with “Sillar” ( whitish lava color from the volcano Misti). This is an old plaza with much historical background. Well kept gardens, many pigeons and people. One impressive feature are the arches around the square that hold many stores and restaurants. Near by is the Iglesia de la Compañía (Jesuits), on the opositor side of the cathedral. A place to see specially the cupola, completely cover inside with beautiful paintings and a display of religious ornaments in gold and silver.

Very nice Plaza de Armas
The Plaza de Armas in Arequipa is very nice. Traffic is forbidden so, only pedestrian can walk around. The cathedral in front is quite impressive and in the middle of the Plaza you have a small water area, with a green garden around. The houses surrounding the plaza are also very nice. It's a touristy place, so you'll find lots of people and lots of people trying to sell you things.
