    Beautiful
We stopped by here and strolled back and forth on the beach and were taken in by the calm beauty of the sea and the mountains beyond. The beach was very clean, We did not go swimming but there were several families in the water and we were told that it has the warmest water in the area.

Park at Playa Negra, walk to Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca is the better sand, and in November during a weekday was nearly deserted. It is a beautiful lake with clear water, and shallow and sandy enough from the shore to allow easy wading or swimmer if one is prepared for mountain lake water temps. A nice spot to enjoy a picnic and relax, with easy access from Pucon by a paved road. Consider the quick stop at Ojos del Caburgua, which is just a few minutes off the road on the way from Pucon. Parking at Playa Blanca is non-existent for tourists, so park at the southern end of the lake (Playa Negra) and walk around the beach to the Playa Blanca side. There is construction just finishing of a very nice promenade building, which looks like it will be done by the main summer tourist season of January-February.
