Picturesque Lake Without the Touristy Crowds
Having stayed in touristy and commercialized Pucon for six days, Lican Ray was a breath of fresh air. I was there in April, in between the summer and skiing seasons so the town was practically empty but the weather was warm enough for sunbathing on the volcanic beaches in Lican Ray off the Calafquèn Lake. There are two beaches in the town - Playa Grande and Playa Chico - and both are pretty in their own rights. To get to Lican Ray from Pucon, take the JAC bus (30 mins) to Villarica and then change to any bus headed to Coñaripe (another 30 mins). The bus terminals in Villarica are all located along the same street. Tip: Go during the off-peak season of April for warm sunshine and zero tourists.

Licán Ray - An amazing town-
Here you can find everything that you need for have an excellent vacations, you have the lake where you can rent water bicycles and navigate it, besides at the hill you can find everything about the mapuche culture. Respect theculture, the beliefs and they will respect you.

The water of the lake is so fresh, special to refresh your mind and soul! for me one of the best family destinations in the country, also you have a good town as Lican Ray is next to the lake. So, let's go swimming and then have a roast lamb for lunch on this amazing town! Go to "El Coyote" to enjoy the best chorrillanas in Lican Ray.
