Very important to follow ticketing process to gain entry to the park
If this review helps one person, it will be extremely valuable! There was so much confusion related to the booking process the day I visited (1/22/2023) It's very important to follow the process outlined on the official website of Socaire Chile to purchase tickets. First, you need to purchase a ticket in advance and only at the official website. Next you have to select a date and time to visit the site. Next, you need to arrive in the town of Solcaire at least 1 hour before your ticket time. You will get a paper ticket from the office in Socaire using the QR code of the ticket you purchased online. You must also provide your license plate number. There may be big line in Solcaire when you arrive so plan to arrive on time. Solcaire is 30 minutes from Lagunas Miscanti y Miniques if arriving from San Pedro Atacama. You cannot miss any of the steps above, or do them out of order, to gain entry. You must present your paper ticket at the gate of Lagunas Miscanti y Miniques. Your QR code will not gain you entry to the park without a paper ticket from Solcaire one hour in advance! The visit is amazing and well worth it!

Stunning
We were very lucky as our guide had been told they were going to close the road to the lagoons due to inclement weather. Our guide raced up there as quickly as was safe and we caught beautiful blue lakes under snow capped volcanos and blue sky. Stunning. we met people who had visited an hour later who did not see the snow, volcano or blue sky as the weather had closed in. Rain only occurs late Jan -early Feb here apparently.
