Flabbergasting views
This lagoon is located close to Piedras Rojas. It is also referred to as Salar Del Carmen. There is a designated view point when returning from Lagunas Miscanti and Lagunas Miniques, from where one can get flabbergasting views of the lagoon, the red rocks and the Andean mountain range. One will be able to see several flamingos and other birds in the distance from the viewpoint. This attraction is certainly not to be missed by any tourist visiting the area.

Salty lake in the Desert: with a view!
This lagoon was gorgeous! Very buoyant. You can float like the dead sea! The water is incredibly salty. It's actually more considered brine than water! Therefore, if you have open wounds/skin sensitivity be careful! Amazing views. The water is NOT a hot spring so it will be a little cold!

Some birds can be found here.
We saw some different birds as well as flamingos here, although they were a good way off compared to some other locations. It is still a very interesting stop in the Atacama.
